How Milnerton Squash Club collects, uses, and protects the personal information of our members, applicants, and website visitors.

Last updated: 16 July 2026

Information we collect

Milnerton Squash Club is committed to providing excellent service to our members and visitors of this website, including respecting your privacy. We will only ask for information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you ("personal information") when we genuinely need it — typically when you apply for membership or request a specific service.

You agree to provide accurate and current information when asked, and not to impersonate or misrepresent any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation with anyone or anything.

How we use your information

We use the personal information you provide to:

  • Process and respond to membership applications and requests for services;
  • Communicate with you via the website or email regarding your application or membership;
  • Provide the services you've requested through our website;
  • Let you know about new features, services, special offers, and events — only where you've consented to receiving marketing material;
  • Validate and verify applications and requests for the purposes for which you specifically provided the information; and
  • Improve your experience on our website.

When we disclose information

Milnerton Squash Club will disclose personal information only where required to do so:

  • To comply with applicable law or legal process served on the club;
  • To protect and defend the rights or property of Milnerton Squash Club; or
  • To employees and/or third parties who assist us in providing services to you, and who therefore need your personal information to render a proper and efficient service.

Any employee or third-party service provider with access to your personal information is bound by appropriate, legally binding confidentiality and non-use obligations.

Cookies

Information and data is automatically collected through the standard operation of our web servers and through the use of cookies. Cookies are small text files that let a website recognise repeat visitors, facilitate ongoing access and use of the site, and compile aggregate usage data to inform content improvements.

Cookies don't damage files on your device. Generally, a cookie assigns you a unique number that has no meaning outside the site that set it. Most browsers let you deny or accept cookies — note that some site features (like customised delivery of information) may depend on cookies being enabled.

Keeping your information secure

While Milnerton Squash Club takes reasonable measures to keep your personal information confidential, we cannot be held liable for loss or damage arising from unauthorised disclosure of that information. That said, we commit to:

  • Treating your personal information as strictly confidential;
  • Taking appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep it secure and protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing, and against accidental loss, destruction, damage, alteration, disclosure, or access;
  • Promptly notifying you if we become aware of any unauthorised use, disclosure, or processing of your personal information;
  • Providing you with reasonable evidence of our compliance with these obligations on reasonable request; and
  • Promptly returning or destroying your personal information on request.

How long we keep it

We will not retain your personal information for longer than the period for which it was originally needed, unless we're required by law to do so, or you consent to a longer retention period.

In short: we keep what we need, for as long as we need it to serve you as a member or applicant, and no longer.
