50+ years of squash, community, and "serious fun" at the Theo Marais complex in Milnerton, a club built by the people who play here.
Milnerton Squash Club has been part of the local community for over 50 years, based at the Theo Marais sports complex in Milnerton, Cape Town. In that time the game around us has changed, but what MSC is hasn't: a place where league players, social members, families, and juniors share the same three courts, the same bar, and the same sense that this is a club first and a facility second.
Courts are open 24/7 for members. The bar runs weekdays 17h00–20h00 and Saturdays 12h30–16h00, and it's usually where the club's character shows up, long after the last rally of the night.
Respect for opponents, officials, and the game itself, on court and off. Squash here is competitive, never at the expense of how people treat each other.
League nights, socials, and the odd tournament weekend build the kind of community where members know each other by name, not just by ranking.
We take squash seriously and ourselves lightly. It's "serious fun" — real competition, real coaching, without losing sight of why people show up to play.
6 teams competing in the Western Province League across roughly 25 match nights a season.
Private, pairs, and group clinics for adults and juniors with our club coaches.
Thursday evenings from 18h30 and Saturday afternoons 12h30–16h00, open to members and visitors alike.
Club Championships, Summer and Winter Leagues, and other fixtures throughout the year.
MSC's community reach extends past the club walls through the Dunoon Outreach Programme. Squash SA-certified coached squash clinics for children from Dunoon, twice a month, on the same courts our league players compete on. It's one of the ways this club has stayed connected to the wider community for 50+ years, not just the members inside it.
Whether you're picking up a racket for the first time or looking for a competitive league home, there's a place for you at MSC.
